1. Introduction

CloneX ("we", "our", "us") provides an AI-powered avatar and talking-photo generation app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information you provide when using our application.

By using CloneX, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

If you choose to create an account, we collect:

• Email address (or Apple private relay email if using Sign in with Apple)
• Authentication tokens
• Optional profile information

Guest Mode: Users may access non-account-based features without signing in.

B. Photos / Images You Upload

When you upload a photo to create an avatar or talking video:

• We receive the raw image you upload
• We do not extract biometric identifiers, faceprints, facial geometry, or any biometrics
• The image is sent securely to our animation processor (A2E API)
• It is used only to generate the avatar/talking-photo output you requested
• The uploaded image is treated as user-generated content, not biometric identity data

C. Voice Recordings You Provide (Optional)

If you choose to clone your voice:

• You record or upload an audio sample
• The sample is sent to ElevenLabs to generate synthetic speech
• Used only for generating your talking-video output
• Deleted after processing unless you save the final voice avatar
• We do not create or store biometric voiceprints

D. Usage & Device Data

We collect:

• App usage behavior
• Avatar selections
• Video generation requests
• Performance data (logs, crash events)
• Device type, OS version

This is used only to improve app performance and stability.

E. Payment Data

Payments are handled only through Apple's In-App Purchase system.
We do not receive or store credit card numbers or billing details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data only to operate the app and generate the content you request:

• Create AI avatars from uploaded photos
• Generate talking-photo videos
• Generate speech from user-provided audio
• Provide and manage subscriptions
• Save your generated content (only if you choose)
• Maintain account authentication
• Provide customer support
• Improve app performance

We do NOT:

• Use your photo or audio for identification
• Perform face recognition
• Train AI models using your content
• Sell any personal data
• Use images or audio for advertising

4. Sharing of Information

We only share your uploaded content with third-party processors needed to generate the content you request:

A. A2E Animation API

Used to generate talking-photo videos from your uploaded image.

B. ElevenLabs API

Used to generate speech or cloned voice from your optional audio sample.

C. Cloud Hosting Providers

We may use Firebase, Google Cloud, AWS, or Cloudinary to store your content securely.

We never sell or share your data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

5. Face Data Use (Apple Compliance Section)

Apple requires explicit answers about face data.

What face data does the app collect?

• Only the photo you upload, which may contain a face.
• We do not extract biometric identifiers, facial geometry, or facial templates.

How is face data used?

• Only to generate the avatar or talking-photo video you request.

• It is not shared for any other reason.

How long is face data retained?

• Temporary processing copies are deleted within 24 hours
• Nothing is stored permanently unless the user saves it
• All content is deleted immediately when the user deletes it

7. Account Deletion

Users may delete their account anytime inside the app:
Settings → Delete Account

This permanently removes:

• Account info • Uploaded photos • Audio samples
• Generated content • Voice clones

⚠️ Deletion is irreversible.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices: encrypted data transmission, secure cloud storage, and role-based access control. No system is completely secure, but we follow best practices.

9. Children's Privacy

CloneX is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Third-Party Providers

We integrate: Firebase/Google Cloud (authentication, database), A2E API (talking-photo generation), ElevenLabs (voice generation), AWS/Cloudinary (media storage), Apple In-App Purchases. These third parties process data only to generate the content requested.

11. International Transfers

Your data may be processed on secure servers outside your country. We use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes occur.
